As some of you might already know, my incredibly beautiful baby daughter Mya experienced a great struggle in the first few weeks of her life.
Mya had seizures soon after birth caused by a stroke in the womb. The stroke damaged several portions of her brain, the temporal, parietal and occipital lobes of both sides. Presently she is home, healthy and stable, but doctors expect that she will have developmental delays and require extensive therapy, which will be both time consuming and expensive. One of these treatments that I am seeking is called Cranio-sacral therapy. It is proven to help bridge developmental gaps caused by brain damage in the first years of life.
Any contributions (even the smallest amount) would be greatly appreciated to help cover treatment expenses that might not otherwise be available for Mya. I also need some time away from work to focus on getting her the necessary treatments. Every dollar donated to this fund will go to covering her therapy costs and keep me at her side.
