Tri-State Area and Beyond

Yo what up! Just wanted to let you all know that we ain't trying to hate on anybody else's scene. This site is basically to uplift us and keep the future bboys coming up in our scene together and united. We are promoting positivity and unity not like some of the few ol school cats who promoted negativity and disunity. I think thats a word. haha. Anyways, you guys have seen how divided our scene was recently. Most of you guys didn't support our jams becuase you guys already knew about our vibe and probably thought it was wack. But now it's a different time and era.
This post is basically to let you guys know that we do support your scenes and appreciate your support. You guys help build our scene. Like the other weekend during rukkus in the forgotten boro and united styles, Boston came maaaaaaaaaaaaaad deep and showed each other support through every battle they was in. Man I wish New York was on that type of level. We are when we're at home but we don't really go to jams deeeeeeeeep like that out of state. We got to do that. Especially with the rumors going around that Freestyles Session and World of Dance are coming to New York. We need to pick up our game. Even BC One may be in New York this year. Everybody is coming to New York now. So we creating a buz yo. And if not, we need to spark this boiling melting pot. So now it's time for New York to go to everyone. Support your local and other long distance bboy scenes. Shout outs to the Tri-State. Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Conneticut, Maryland, Virginia, and every where else, keep it up and you'll sure to see some new york representation soon. Especially Across the U.S. and Abroad. Let's keep this movement moving. What, What!

New York Flava if Ya already didn't know

This humble as dude Meen 187 is an incredible beat hitter. And has been putting in the work out in the trenches for NYC for a minute! I'm just making sure you guys acknowledge what this man has been doing and by showing my support heres a few clips of homie getting it in!

This is homie at a Footwork battle down in VA back in July called unbreakable. Unfortunately I had to battle him after him but no need to show the footage of that battle to embarass him. Haha. Nah it was a fire battle anyways.

And here, man just check it out. He don't even do anything but he's showing what new york does best and right. A lil something something.

A NEW HOPE!!!!

We did it NY! We went out there and repped for our city! It's 09 and it's about time! The jam was dope! Not a lot of bboys from the area. I don't know what happend but it kinda reminded me about how NYC used to be. Where if cats aren't feeling a certain crew then they won't support. So the Sacramento scene was dead compared to when I was last out there. Maybe its the recession or just the scene beefing, who knows. But there were a lot of out of town bboys out there. Man we actually got to battle the Freak Show during the pre lims. Now you don't get to battle cats like that where we from. So I expected a hype and crazy battle. I've seen these guys battle before. Their aggresive and in your face. Which we're used to back home. Right? Hell yea. New York, you know how we do! haha. But yea we set it off like we did every battle. Straight hungry and ready to just eat a bboy for dinner. We brought it but they didn't bring it like they usually do. Definitely a different style! They got some crazy moves but weren't on point. It was fun battling them though.
Second day came by and had to get my lil warm up going so I caught homie from Ukraine Intact in the cypher and just went guns blazing on him. They was playing some dope music so we was just going at it hitting beats and showing our flava. It lasted about 5 or 6 rounds but I know I had it! Took him out real quick and got ready for the crew battles. Now let me tell you about how my crew works. When we enter a battle, we get prepared yo. Straight up. We didn't travel all the way to the other side of the U.S. to just represent and have fun. We went there to win. We worked hard for it and practiced and definitely trained. Theres actually a clip of us in maryland training but messing around. Some of us was sleeping in the gym cuase of how tired we was. lol. The reason we say this is becuase we are pushing for NYC to be on the map. We're not saying we're the best but we will definitely be the city's ambassadors. Cuase we going everywhere. Non stop. If nobody else is going to do it, we will but we know NYC is going to get off their asses. Supreme Beings won a Mighty 4 out in the bay area a few months ago which wasn't mentioned. Them winning is what got me inspired even more to start traveling and winning for new york city. Jiggz was actually there with us representing on the one on ones. On his birthday too. Unfortunately he was sick and it kinda showed in the battle. He was still killing it though. We was behind him supporting him all the way. He ended up losing to a Lageat(I think) from Portugal. Dope battle but I thought Jiggz had it becuase it was suppose to be a historical battle. Where whoever dances with more foundation or historically would win. So I thought Jiggz looked more historical to me even though he did do an airchair. haha. But you know Jiggz has the cleanest and fastest foundation from New York. Oh well! They flew him out. We should be flying out. We're from the Mecca of all B-Boys. And everyone is dancing like us. We do what everyone in the world is trying to do the BEST! So let's show the world how it really looks. Everyone stand up and push yourself to your best. We will be on top!
Props to the Ukranians Ruffneck Attack, they gave us a dope battle. Even though we were both tired we did our thing and it was a close call but I feel like we deserved the win. Battled them cats in Who Can Roast the Most too so we stay going at it. We will see them next time at the next cypher. But yo if me and my crew can do it, anybody from New York City and surrounding cities can. You just got to work hard and be prepared. No half ass stepping.

any givin sunday (united styles)

sunday was a interesting day. it was big hype about the event that was coming to nyc from boston called united styles. i must say i was even in hi hopes for it, but it failed to meet my expectations. it was a good turn out for the promoters i hope, the music was good and i could say that the jugding was pretty accurate. but i will say that there was no vibe the music kept stopping, and not only did it keep stopping it stoped for like 10min or so, and the most important thing that was not so cool about the event was that they kept trying to make people go down stairs when thay wanted to listen to the music up stairs. then if you went downstairs the bouncers wouldnt let you up stairs until some people came down. i don't know if im paying from 15 to 20 dollars to get into an event i should be able to go where i please in the club. every now and then i would feel it in the cyphers but not long enuff because the music would stop. i also heard that they switch the prices on the entree fee for some people and that the coat check went from 3 dollars to 4. in the competetion they were running out of time so they shorten it down to just 3 people in the finals. it seemed like the club was running the event more than the promoters. it just goes to show that it takes a nyc promoter to run a nyc scene.

a great saturday night in shaolin

whats up people it nemesis here letting everyone know how this saturday went down.
first we'll start with rukus in the forgotten boro, the music was the vibe was good the battles was intense. boston came out and showed alot of support, the whole nyc came out showed alot of support to eack other. it was good vibes evryone was feeling it and i think we need to creat more vibes like that. it was a couple of battles, excite vs kom3, merlin vs strips from f.l., and gravity vs lil tony. it was an exciting night. it was dynamic rockers and problems kru in the end, dynamic came out victorious.

Yes We Can Can Party

OH yea! Last night was Crazy Leggs Birthday Bash which he throws every year. The party was so exclusive that the only was to get in was to RSVP IF you were invited. With DJs such as DV One (Seattle), Red Alert, Louie Vega, and Tony Touch you knew it was going down. It was located on 320 west 37th street in a dope ass loft on the 14th floor. DV One was the first dj that I saw who was killing it with his video DJing skills. That's right, homie was djing music videos and with ease. It was Bannanas. Open Bar too! Oh man Last night was nothing but good times. Many faces of the hip hop scene attended the party. From famous hip hop pioneer photographer Joe Conzo, Rosie Perez, and Grand Master Caz just to name a few. B-Boys and B-Girls got down to the breaks, house, and whatever else Tony Touch was playing. We had crews such as The Dynamic Rockers, Breaks Kru, Domestic Apes, Zebra Mob, and of course the Rocksteady Crew definitely representing. So it was a hell of way to start off the New Year for NYC in general. Let's keep it moving and motivated throughout the year. Look out for future merchandise and mainly info on the site coming up. I want to thank Mr. BreakerNYC himself for hooking us up with a page and for pushing foward NYC in a major way. Stay tuned for practice spot schedules all over NYC and all week. Keep it Rocking!

New York Alliance and Breaker NYC

'Yall better recognize that there is a movement at hand.  Today a meeting went down...Kid Glyde, Nemesis, and myself.  This is some mafioso Sapranos type shit... a meeting of the minds...and a sign that New York is coming together for a common goal.  Its time to put aside differences and unite for a better New York Bboy scene.

Nemesis and Glyde had on their business faces...and are starting a company called NEW YORK ALLIANCE.  And as of today they joined forces with BreakerNYC.com.  This page will be dedicated to them....and their vision...
